Attitude In Moving Forward

Maintain Simplicity - It is the Humble Heart God Responds to
The Spirit of God said to me, "The most profound thing you can do is to maintain simplicity!" One of the quickest ways to spot man-made religious systems is: they are always active, extremely busy, working hard, making complicated and complex what God has made simple.
Our quest should be to maintain and preserve, at all cost, a childlike heart. Yes, we are to move to marks of maturity, however, on the journey we must never lose our childlike nature in our response to Christ. Remember God resists the proud, and He gives grace to the humble (1 Peter 5:5).
Christ Jesus was asked a pointed question, Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven? It is incredibly important that we understand and comprehend His response in Matthew 18:1-5:
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who then is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?" Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me."
This response from our Lord is totally opposite of man's way of thinking; religion is always seeking to "wow" others with our knowledge and theological grasp of issues. Yet, Jesus reveals it is a humble childlike heart that is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
This passage releases understanding and insights concerning our need to become humble and childlike, not childish. It would seem that becoming childlike and conversion go hand and hand, regardless of age. Children are normally characterized by simplicity, profound trustfulness, and honesty. Such qualities in a man lead him to Christ and conversion.
The Problem: Human Nature
A huge obstacle to becoming childlike is pride. Haughty pride is a basic part of human nature. People seek to do things that exalt themselves over others. The only way to be what God intends people to be is to be childlike, and cast aside arrogant self-exaltation. A terrible sin to fall prey to is the sin of self-centeredness.
According to Scripture, even the Disciples of Christ struggled with this plaguing problem of self-centeredness in Mark 9:33-37:
Then He came to Capernaum. And when He was in the house He asked them, "What was it you disputed among yourselves on the road?" But they kept silent, for on the road they had disputed among themselves who would be the greatest.
And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, "If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all." Then He took a little child and set him in the midst of them. And when He had taken him in His arms, He said to them, "Whoever receives one of these little children in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me but Him who sent Me.
Again this subject of wrong motives is dealt with in Luke 9:46-48:
Then a dispute arose among them as to which of them would be greatest. And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a little child and set him by Him, and said to them, "Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great."
Christian Character
To understand Jesus' instructions about humility, one must observe children. Their sense of innocence, directness, and trust give us keys to comprehending what it means to be humble in the Kingdom of God. This humility is acted out before God, but its credibility is visible as we act toward others with a true sense of their worth and of the gifts they bring to the Kingdom's work. One of the swiftest pathways to spiritual promotion is "servant-hood!"
Paul states that he did not attempt to reach the people with human wisdom and eloquent words but rather he chose to present the person and passion of Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2: 1-5:
And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
We too, will do well to lift up Christ and His Cross to a hurting world. This is the simple message with a profound impact on all who respond. Keep it simple!
Blessings!

A Year Of Moving Forward

Seeing Your Destiny from God's Perspective
And Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me. He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me. I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness. If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day..." John 12:44-49 NASB
Never doubt yourself or sell yourself short. Concentrate on your God-given abilities and assets. You must believe that you are important in the scheme of things in order to be successful. As a man thinks in his heart so is he. Believe in God and you will prosper.
Tell yourself, I am essential. I am special, important, intelligent and desirable. I am an Overcomer. People need and want me. I am an answer and solution to problems. Prosperity and blessings are going to chase me down and overtake me.
God Has You Covered
Journal, number and take an account of your days. Psalm 90:12 says, "So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom." Don't worry or be concerned about last year's plan not being fulfilled. God has you covered – expect success! Live in the NOW!
Nothing takes God by surprise! Remember God's goodness and mercies. Give thanks for everything: the good, the bad and the ugly – it is all part of your process. For all things (Not Some things) but all things (good – bad – ugly) work together for good to them that love the LORD and are called according to His purpose.
Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NASB
What Are You Afraid Of?
Reevaluate your attitudes; they will either empower you to succeed, or cause your defeat through depression, despair and fear. Fear will paralyze you. Fear will prevent you from making changes and destroy your future. Fear can make you physically sick, shorten your life and steal your possibilities. It is important to identify what you are afraid of. What types of fear do you suffer from? Fear of man? Fear of man is easy to triumph over if you allow yourself to see everyone as an equal. It is important to honor all men great and small, but don't devalue yourself. If you don't respect yourself, how can you respect others?
Do you have the fear of failure? Realize you are just as smart and talented as the next fellow. You are unique and special. Your thoughts and ideas are important and valuable. Proper planning and seeking out expert advice in your field of interest can alleviate many failures.
Do you battle with the fear of rejection? You are extraordinary, exceptional and very essential. You are just as important as the person you look up to and admire. Reject rejection! You are loved and accepted in the Beloved! The image we project to others will cause them to treat us in that way. If we project confidence we will be treated as a capable person who can handle great responsibilities.
Once you identify the type of fear that is hindering your progress, you can expel it from your life by taking positive actions.
Dreams come true when you put action to them. The more we place our confidence in the Lord, the more fear is diminished in our lives. A positive attitude that trusts in the Lord is powerful! Confidence is necessary to live a happy, successful life. The more confidence you can develop in God, the more success you will experience. Confidence produces success, increased production and brings swift promotion. We can build our confidence by recalling the marvelous things the Lord has done for us and through us. Reflect on your successful memories, accomplishments and things of excellence.
How Our Emotions Can Change for the Positive
The brain (mind) is an amazing organ. It functions much like a computer. The brain (mind) collects; sorts and stores our positive and negative thoughts and memories. These memories are what make up our self-image. If you view yourself with a negative self-image you will not respect yourself. Only gather, deposit and ponder positive memories, images, comments and experiences. Focus on and contemplate the good, true, honorable things in your life. Think about whatever is right, and pure, whatever is lovely, and of a good reputation. Things of excellence are worthy of praise; dwell on and practice these things and the God of peace will be with you. Concentrate on the positive aspects of people and situations.
Don't dwell on the negative weaknesses of others. Overlook the negative images. Don't entertain negative thoughts or opinions; obliterate them from your mind. Cast off every unpleasant, pessimistic, detrimental thought, they will only steal your energy. Negative thinking and emotions makes you tired and bitter. Don't dwell on failures, difficulties or problems. You empower what you focus on. Instead of focusing on difficulties or problems, count your blessings. Focus on the pleasant, encouraging things that edify and build people up.
Train yourself to recognize and manage your emotions. When you are able to control or manage your emotions, they will work for, not against, you. If you let fear run wild and unchecked, it will paralyze you. Don't give into extremes or mood swings. Adjust your emotions to match positive motions. When you learn to manage your emotions properly, you will not waste time on negative things but only recall the positive experiences in life.
Don't believe in, listen to or give into anger, rage, rejection or any other negative response. If you choose positive actions and habitually rehearse the proper responses, your emotions will begin to come into balance and fall in line. Your emotions will change for the positive when your actions and reactions positively change.
Relationships: Loving, Building Up and Encouraging Others
Are you a friend to God? Jesus is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. Are you friendly? To have friends you must show yourself to be open, warm, likeable and friendly.
Decide you are going to find something to like about everyone. Appreciate everyone you meet and look for ways to praise them. Celebrate their successes and accomplishments. It is so nice to receive a card of congratulations in the mail. Store up and invest compliments in the people you know; never treat anyone as a second-class citizen. Praise is a powerful tool that opens the door for goals to be reached. When someone praises, you learn to pass that compliment onto others. Everyone needs to be loved, built up and encouraged.
Getting along with diverse kinds of people is very important. Have you developed your people skills? The more people skills you have, the more successful you will be in life. Be willing to lend your spiritual strength to people who are going through a difficult time. Send sympathy cards to those who have lost loved ones. Sometimes it is difficult to know what to say, so let the card say you care.
Learn to love your enemies: "Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation. Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, 'Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,' says the Lord. 'But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.' Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:14-21 NASB).
When you meet a stranger, greet them with a pleasant smile. Work at building your bank account with new friends by introducing yourself. I am learning the names of people in airports, stores and restaurants. Some people are shy or insecure, so offer your hand in friendship first. Smile and introduce yourself by name. Then ask for their name and pronounce their names correctly. Try to remember their name. Make yourself a note and record their name in writing. You would be surprised how much better service you receive if you treat people with respect and greet them by their names. "Hello, Matt! How are you? It's good to see you again!"
If possible, get their email address or phone number and drop them a friendly hello later in the week. Let them know how pleased you were to meet them. Brag on your new friend to their manager; tell them about what a great job they do. If they are a waiter, tip them big and they will fight over who gets your table next time. Treat people the way you would want to be treated if you were in their position.
When you meet new people, try to put them at ease. The more comfortable, relaxed and easy-going you act around others, the more comfortable they will be around you. Don't act arrogant or proud. Keep the other person and their needs as your focus. Ask them questions about themselves. Be genuinely interested in them as a person. Focus on removing the harsh or irritating elements of your character. Resolve complaints, criticisms and offenses quickly. Extend grace and forgiveness when others make mistakes or anger you.
BE ANGRY, AND yet DO NOT SIN; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity. Ephesians 4:26-27 NASB
The better you are able to treat and relate to people, the further they will carry you in life. Successful people surround themselves with people who have varied skills, gifts and talents. People are the ones who sustain, transport and bring you through life. Cherish them.
Everyone in Your Life is Important to Your Success – Learn to Listen
Being a good listener is an art! Everyone likes a good listener. Are you a good listener? Do you dominate the conversations, continually talking about yourself? Do not exploit your relationships rather EXPLORE them. Do you cut people off or interrupt their train of thought? Do you look for every opportunity to bring the conversation back around to you? People enjoy talking about themselves, so let your friends be heard. Ask them questions to draw them out. A good listener ignites enthusiasm and stimulates success by inspiring others to fulfill their dreams. It's a real gift to make people feel loved, appreciated, valued and important. Everyone in your life is important to your success. Make them feel that they are significant.
Are you able to listen to suggestions, the advice of, demands, or the critiques of others? Do you get offended or rejected when someone offers you their ideas or input on your job? Does it bring up insecure feelings that make you feel threatened? How do you handle constructive criticism? Do you hear it through a negative filter? Those that are above us are there for a reason. They have more wisdom or know-how. They have been with the company longer and have seen a lot of changes come and go. Try to embrace their evaluations, analysis or assessments as a positive bonus in your life. You can learn a great deal from people who have more experience.
Thank them for their advice. Let them know you appreciate the time they took to speak into you. Pay attention to the positive elements they brought to the table. Gladly make the necessary changes. Focus on their positive attributes. Don't tear someone down or belittle them, especially when they are trying to help you succeed. Embrace diversity, it makes life spicy and enjoyable. Be determined to learn something from everyone.
It is also important not to listen to someone else speak negatively about a friend or acquaintance. Don't take up someone else's grievances, offense, or negative opinions. Be a free thinker and formulate your own positive opinions about others. But treat people with dignity, honor and respect. Quickly excuse yourself from hostile company. Let judgmental people know you don't agree with their evaluation of your friend and move on. You should never allow yourself to be a dumping ground.
Negative words create a destructive environment. Remember the law of sowing and reaping. You will reap the words you sow into someone's life or into the atmosphere. We always reap more than we have sown because of the multiplication factor. Words continue to exist years after they are spoken. Let your words be sweet, because some day you may have to eat them.
People are a wonderful treasure; they are the ones who insure your happiness in life. Love thinks or hears no evil of others but always believes the best about someone. Treat people the way you want to be treated, always be kind, thoughtful and full of grace and love.
How to Recover From and Learn From Mistakes
Experience is your best teacher and you can’t keep doing the same thing and expect a different result. The way you think and how you handle losses, adversity, criticism, or defeat will determine how long it will take you to successfully reach your next goals. It is helpful to regularly appraise your work. The road to success is always under construction. Determine how you can improve your skills. Choose one of your many abilities to develop.
We can learn a great deal from our mistakes if we don't allow them to bury us in remorse or self-pity. Recognize a mistake for what it is: a mistake. Don't label yourself as a failure or beat yourself up emotionally just because something didn't work out the way you planned. Refuse to allow discouragement or depression to enter your thinking. Instead, research your field of interest. Decide what went wrong. Experiment, explore new options and approaches, investigate possibilities, change it, and discover how to correct it next time, let it go, persevere, be persistent and move on. Don't allow setbacks to discourage you from reaching your goals; expand your horizons. With God's wisdom you can solve every predicament. Pray continually and meditate on the Word. Sing and make melody in your heart. Take a nap, relax, work out, dance, take a vacation and then revisit the problem with a new response. The experience you have gleaned from your mistake will change defeat into a successful victory. This valuable life lesson will not only help you in the future, but your new knowledge will help others be successful, too.

Divine Wisdom Verses Common Sense

What do you do when what you are going through doesn’t make sense? As Christians we sometimes go through situations and circumstances that doesn’t make sense to us and in most cases question God and our faith. We often reason these circumstances through our finite minds and we fail to connect the dots. Yet life doesn't always make sense, and God doesn't always give us the answers. It is during these times of total uncertainty that we can be most tempted to mistrust God. We often ask this question: "Why would God allow this to happen?"

We forget the source of all evil and always God gets the bad rap. Although God sometimes lets us in on some of His reasons for allowing things or doing things, most of the time He doesn't. "'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' declares the Lord. 'As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts'" (Is 55:8-9).  Romans 8:28 says; “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

We must realize that we are the created beings and God is the Creator. How could we understand his reasoning? "Clearly Scripture tells us we lack the capacity to grasp God's infinite mind or the way He intervenes in our lives. How arrogant of us to think otherwise. Trying to analyze His omnipotence is like an ant attempting to comprehend the behavior of man."

When disasters strike, we feel like children at God's feet, tugging at his coat with the question, "Why?" It is human nature for us to want to understand each significant event in our lives. When my precious daughter was born with medical challenges which were facts but contrary to the TRUTH, I wanted to know why? The only answer I got was from John 9:1-3, when Jesus healed a man born blind. As Jesus went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned? Jesus said, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.

That gave me a window of hope and enabled me to realign my thoughts and expectation on how to approach my situation. We feel that if we could just grab hold of a reason for each painful event then we could make it through to the other side. My anchor became my relationship with God which is more experiential than text book knowledge; and not on any comforting words from friends and family. My attitude became one of a set up for God’s Glory and not a setback for the devils glory. If we always have a reason for things, we will be tempted to rely on ourselves during our pain rather than turning to God. We are not meant to understand; we are meant to trust. God's reasons are beyond our created minds. He does not promise us any explanations on earth, but one day in heaven we will understand our pain. "Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known" (1 Cor 13:12). We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).  Proverbs 3:5-6 says; “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight”. In other words; Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. What you are going through, though it might not make sense to you; trust in LORD – Anchor your faith in HIM and in your relationship with HIM and know that HE will make it all good.

Timely Word By Bobby Conner!

Bobby Conner
Prayer was never meant to be dry, dull or drudgery; on the contrary, it is to be a delightful audience with the KING! We have been granted a wonderful privilege: to approach God! It's almost unbelievable to think that God has invited us to approach Him to behold Him upon His throne. This is an invitation that none can afford to turn down.
The writer of the book of Hebrews states strongly, "Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]" (Hebrews 4:16 AMP).
The Spirit of Truth is, at this time, releasing insights with understanding concerning the power of prayer. We are experiencing the power of the decree; God is turning prayer from a "plea" to a "powerful proclamation"! From, "Oh, God would You?" to "God, You promised!" Remember, you have not because you ask not (see James 4:2). Jesus states: "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you will find"!
Today, take a stand and boldly make your request known to God, having total confidence that He is hearing you and will grant your request.
"And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him" (1 John 5:14-15).
Christ Jesus states: "Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!' and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]" (Mark 11:23-24).
I encourage you to cast all your cares upon Christ Jesus, He truly cares for you, and in Him you will find a friend that sticks closer than a brother. In Him, you will find a constant help in the time of need. Just as Queen Esther in the Book of Esther, prepare your heart to come before your King (Christ Jesus), you too will discover a warm welcome. You will find He is willing and waiting to release to you your heart's request (see Esther 5:1-3).
God has promised that this is a season of His favor. For He says, "In the time of favor (of an assured welcome) I have listened to and heeded your call, and I have helped you on the day of deliverance (the day of salvation). Behold, now is truly the time for a gracious welcome and acceptance [of you from God]; behold, now is the day of salvation!" (2 Corinthians 6:2 AMP).
God bless you as you prepare to approach your King!

Series on Moving Forward - Prayer Is Key – PRAYING IN TONGUES (SPIRIT)

Acts 6:4; " We shall be persevering to THE prayer and the service of THE saying (Logos)." NT Greek Interlinear
The Early Christians understood that they could not neglect prayer. They were a praying church and how great and mighty things they achieved in prayer. Even when they became very busy in ministry, they did not allow business to get in the way of prayer. I want you to notice in the literal text it says, "We will persevere and give ourselves to the prayer..." Pay attention to the words 'the prayer' not just a prayer. It was a definite article meaning a determiner that introduces a noun phrase and implies that the thing mentioned has already been mentioned and was common knowledge. The Early church comprehended that 'praying in tongues' was the prayer. Praying in tongues was known as the prayer. There are many kinds of prayers in the Scripture but Tongues is the ultimate prayer in the New Testament. The Early Church gave much time and attention to it. This was common knowledge to the early disciples and it should be so in the modern church.
Prayer, especially praying in tongues, is a vital aspect to our spiritual growth, walking in the supernatural and being sensitive in the spirit. There is no way around it! If you want to grow in the anointing, it is imperative that you become a person of prayer. Jesus was a man of prayer as was the Apostle Paul and the early church was birthed and based on prayer. The Holy Writ shows that prayer and specially 'tongues' played a very prominent role in the life of the early church and it must play a prominent role in your life.
If you want to grow in the anointing, it is imperative that you become a person of prayer.
One of the greatest ministers who ever graced this earth was Reverend John G. Lake. Although he went through terrible hardships, he was a world shaker. What was the secret to John G. Lake’s deep revelations, extraordinary manifestations, and the success of his ministry? Here is an excerpt from his own mouth: “I want to talk with the utmost frankness and say to you, that tongues have been the making of my ministry. It is that peculiar communication with God when God reveals to my soul the truth I utter to you day by day in the ministry. Many times, I climb out of bed, take my pencil and pad, and jot down the beautiful things of God, the wonderful things of God that He talks out in my spirit and reveals to my heart.” Notice these words: “Tongues have been the making of my ministry.” Tongues will be the making of your life. Another great man who knew the power of praying in tongues was Smith Wigglesworth. Here was an uneducated plumber who, when he partook of the blessing of tongues, was transformed into the apostle of faith. The miracles, boldness, and manifestation of the supernatural became evident in his life and ministry. The church and the world are waiting for end time apostles who will be carriers of power and deliverance. You can be so as you develop the habit of praying in tongues! Apart from the obvious and common knowledge ones, let me list two benefits that you will enjoy as you partake of this marvelous blessing:-
1. Praying in tongues is strengthening your inner self with might.

Ephesians 3:16 tells us, “That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man.”
The Weymouth New Testament words it like this, “To grant you—in accordance with the wealth of His glorious perfections—to be strengthened by His Spirit with power penetrating to your inmost being.” To strengthen means “to make stronger.” It also means “to increase in strength and force.” According to the apostle Paul, when you pray in tongues, you are strengthening or fortifying your spirit man with might. Obviously, he would know more about the might of tongues, as he declared to the Corinthian saints that he prayed in tongues more than them all (see 1 Cor. 14:18). The word ‘might’ is the Greek word ‘dunamis’, and it means “miracle power and explosive power.” The more you pray in the spirit, the more you are increasing in spiritual force on the inside of you. The more you pray in tongues, the more explosive power and miraculous power are growing inside of you. How can you be depressed when the strength of God is within you? Just like barbells will build up your arms, praying in tongues will build up your spirit. When your spirit is strong, it will help to keep that flesh body of yours in line. The more you pray in the spirit, the more you are increasing in spiritual force within.

2. Praying in tongues is part of the offensive of the armor of God. It is the lance that will shoot down the enemy.

Just like barbells will build up your arms, praying in tongues will build up your spirit.
Ephesians 6:13-18;”Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

“The whole armor of God”: Pay attention to the words ‘whole armor’ referring to the Greek word panoplia, meaning “whole, complete set.” It was a word used to depict the full armor of a hoplite or heavily-armed Roman soldier. Whenever the Roman soldier would put on his full armor, there were seven things that he would put on. The apostle Paul listed all the other Roman weaponries by name except for the lance. No Roman panoply would be complete without the lance. Since six is “the number of man” and seven is “the number of God,” seven stands for completion. That is why in the Old Testament we see and read of the seven feasts of Israel, seven sacrifices, seven furniture’s of the tabernacle, seven lamps of the candlestick, seven pillars of wisdom, and seven cities of refuge to name a few. The New Testament, specifically the Book of Revelation talks of the seven churches, Seven Spirits of God, seven golden candlesticks, seven stars, seven lamps of fire, seven seals, seven horns and seven trumpets to name a few.
God does things in sevens, and the seventh weaponry of the armor of God is the lance of prayer in the

spirit. The Roman lance was called a pilum. It was the typical legionary weapon together with the short

sword gladius. It was designed to penetrate the shield as well as the soldier holding it, and to bend

upon impact to make it unusable for another opponent. The pilum was used for long distances by

throwing it, and for shorter distances they would use it to charge. It was a very offensive weapon.

Praying in tongues is an aggressive and offensive weapon to put holes in the cover of the devil. The

lance of tongues is designed to paralyze the movements of the devil against your life. No wonder the

devil fights tongues so much, as it causes great harm in his kingdom.

When Peter’s life was threatened by Herod, the church tapped into ‘the unceasing prayer of tongues’

and reversed the death sentence and demonic assignment. Tongues will make your progress

unstoppable! Pray in tongues! Jude 1:20 (Amplified Bible) But you, beloved, build yourselves up

[founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in

 the Holy Spirit;

Recipe For Good SUCCESS

Living the WORD of God
For us to move forward in our Kingdom Assignment (Destiny) as believers in Christ Jesus, we need to know and live the WORD of GOD. John Chapter 1 says in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the WORD was GOD… And the WORD became flesh and dwelt amongst us and we beheld HIM as the only begotten of the Father full of Grace and Truth.

In other words, JESUS is the Living WORD of God and for us to emulate and live like Christ, we need to know and live the WORD of God. Psalm 119:105. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. A lamp gives light – illumination – direction – understanding. So  Make the WORD of God a priority in your life – spend time with the word daily – meditate upon it daily and apply the Word to every area of your life and you will walk is total victory.

We all want to make it in life and God given us HIS recipe for GOOD SUCCESS and it is in Joshua 1:8, “This Book of the Law (Word of God) shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

GOD’S RECIPE FOR GOOD SUCCESS – (Joshua 1:8)
1.      Depart from your mouth means - Confess & Declare the WORD of GOD

2.      Meditate day and night means – Memorize – Analyze – Visualize – Personalize the Word of God and hide it in your Heart

3.      Observe to DO means – Live it – apply it to every area of your life

4.      According as it is written means – Don’t interpret it your way but seek Understanding (God’s interpretation)

And the end result will be – You will make your way prosperous and have GOOD Success.
Have a blessed week!

The Power Of Consistency

The Moving Forward Series

Daniel 6:1-28
We live in a noncommittal world, where the ability to persevere through difficulty is a rare character trait. If a job is difficult or boring, it's all too common for people to think, Why not quit and find another one? When a marriage becomes stressful and unhappy, it's easier to give up or start over with a new mate. In fact, many couples live together without a marital commitment.

Sadly, this lack of consistency is evident even among believers. At the first sign of conflict or disagreement, some Christians hop to another church instead of remaining loyal to one local body of believers and working through their difficulties. And in our personal spiritual walks, many of us struggle to maintain a consistent quiet time with the Lord. Exhaustion or the demands of the day cause us to let that time slide as we pursue the things of this world.

Daniel was a man of steadfast loyalty. Even the awareness that he could be killed didn't interfere with his practice of praying three times a day. Such devotion to the Lord was noted by others. Jealous satraps and commissioners used Daniel's consistency to trap him, but the king believed it would be the key to his deliverance: "Your God whom you constantly serve will Himself deliver you" (v. 16).

The biblical descriptions of Daniel are impressive: he influenced nations and powerful leaders. But have you considered that the Lord was able to use him greatly because of his unwavering obedience and worship? Just imagine what God can do with you, if you likewise commit yourself to Him.
